So…

…Didja miss me?

Golden Age Batman can be seen punching out dogs, criminals, sailors, giant stone Indians, and–of course–the evil Chinaman in DC’s Batman Chronicles v.4. It’s pretty much all he does.

And tomorrow, the ISB returns in full force with a spine-tingling Spooktoberfest Movie Review! Don’t miss it!

  1. Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

    Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they’re turned around…

  2. You know, it’s all funny until you realize that comic is what caused Michael Vick to go down that dark path. ;)

    Hehehe. Welcome back.

  3. My world was cold and empty without you. Yet, with one mighty Batman powered “CRACK!”, spring has sprung again!
Hazah! Hazah to all the little boys and girls everywhere who love all that is awesome! Hazah!

  4. It’s good to have you back, sir. And it’s especially good that things worked out so well. And it’s even more good to finally have something to read on the job while avoiding actual work.

  5. I’m not too proud to say it: I missed you like the sun misses the rose.

    Yes, I just quoted A Knight’s Tale.

    I’ll fight you.

  6. This is my first comment. And I say I missed you. I did. I missed you almost as much as I’m happy to hear of your mother’s recovery.

Now. Get to the funny stuff you do, already.

  7. Batman is obviously not a memeber of PETA. . ironicly Bruce Wayne is.

    Glad your back Chris.

  8. glad to have your back. I was going into some serious withdrawl. my only salvation was the new yotsuba. i know you know what i’m talking about (fucking evil yanda).
p.s. i’m glad everything turned out okay with your mom

  9. Chris, I don’t even care if that comic was good as a whole. I just liked watching Tony get beat down. Totally worth $2.99.

  10. I am frankly stunned that your Return Scanned Panel Of Triumph didn’t involve the Punisher and guns that shoot swords/with chainsaws strapped to them, but sometimes you’ve just got to go with Batman punching out a great dane.

  11. Glad your back dude. Without you I was forced to drown my sorrows in a Mary Kate, Ashley Olsen movie marathon. You don’t know what that can do to a person. I have seen horrors beyond imagining. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…I guess. Somebody hold me…..

  12. Oh what the hell? I asked Dan DiDio at the panel at HeroesCon if they were ever going to publish that thing and he said no!

In any case, though, I’m glad to see it’s finally getting released.

  13. I did. What with you being gone, and my roommate allowing his suicidegirls membership to expire, there was a thin film of dust gathering on my computer.

  14. The Thor question isn’t Chris Sims detailing #3. It is, will we get an in-depth review of #4 with the fabled return of VOLSTAGG?!?

Oh, and those other two warrior guys. Hansel and Gretel or whatever. :)

  15. My god, it’s great to have you back. If I had to fill one more work day with actual work, instead of costumed vigilantes fighting animals (as the Good Lord intended), I would have punched a great dane myself.

  16. Golden Age Batman and Superman are both awesome, but Batman wins because he threw a guy off the roof of a building with his feet.

    Glad you’re back.

  17. Yep – glad to have you back, Chris! Let me hug ya – in a manly sort of way….

But you know – on the Awesome Scale, Batman punching out a Doberman doesn’t hold a candle to Punisher punching out a polar bear! :D

    Best,
    Tim Liebe
Dreaded Spouse-Creature of Tamora Pierce – and co-writer of Marvel’s WHITE TIGER comic (Trade Paperback out in finer bookstores everywhere! :) )

  18. Welcome Back. Good news about your family. Strange how I dont know you, but was actually checking back to your site because I was concerned. Your humor helps us all get thru the days.

    Thanks.
