Strong finish, gents! And lady, as well (love the pin-up, Kate). Mr. McDaid’s criticism seems tough but fair. I think the story reads a lot better as a whole than with the weekly act breaks, especially since the third act has all of the ‘splosions, but it’s a great start for Action Age’s first, full, “serious” comic. I’d love to see more of Penny, and I can’t wait to see what’s next on the Action AGEnda!

K.D. Bryan: boy, if I had a nickel for every time I colored something for free… well, I guess I wouldn’t have been doing them for free. I’d have been doing them for a nickel.
But really, I’m not even doing THIS for free. Mr. Sims promised me a puppy for Chrismas and medicine for my sick mother. You PROMISED, Mr. Sims!
(And seriously, “Chrismas”? Who makes a holiday out of their own birthday? A megalomaniac, that’s who.)

I love the pinups. All three of these and the one from last week. Very awesome stuff. Sims doesn’t need to worry about me getting hurt. There’s lots of capable artists in line that draw aweomse Penny/D.E.A.T.H. stuff!

Congratulations lads! Great finish (and thanks for reminding us action ages about your earlier depiction of the destruction of the needle, I had forgotten).
On a more earnest note, Mr Sims, please can you impart some sort of instruction on your yelling and whipping technique, as I’ve never managed to get an artist to finish drawing anything, no matter what I do. What is the secret?

As I find myself speculating about Penny and her life, I’ve got to figure that she works as a character for me. For instance, Penny Devlin, a seeming quintessentially English agent, but that’s a pretty Irish name and add in red hair- she must have at least one Irish parent and this means…she went to a convent school!. Surviving the nuns she learnt the life skills that have made her…a woman of A.C.T.I.O.N! It’s a 5/6 page Tales of Asgard thing each issue, surely. Belatedly, as I type this, I realise that the most deadly thing for Batman to have at the end of his nunchucks would be nuns with rulers. Putting the nuns back in nunchucks.
Also, is Penny a good girl with bad luck (with possibly a corsican twins thing about luck going on with her brother), or are her troubles of her own making? The conclusion of the comic shows off her considerable good side, however the shooting the coffee cup incident shows a lack of impulse control that would always be getting a person in trouble. I look forward to finding out which is most typical. Thanks to all for the fun provided.
